RESUMO

This research is justified by the need to cooperate to a greater systematization of knowledge in the field of organizational studies involving the management of people, as well as the need to provide scientific input to the development of projects that can promote the Quality of Working Life (QWL). The project aims to fill a gap in scientific health-related organizations, contributing to the development of a research line named \"Analysis of Working Organizations: people, knowledge and health\", in which it occurs. There are many studies on Quality of Work Life (QWL), but rare are those who develop and evaluate interventions in this area. The objective of this research is to promote quality of work life and contribute to improving the productivity indicators in the target companies in the study. Methodology: evaluation research, design with a baseline pre-intervention, whose measurements are compared with those obtained at the end of the intervention (pre-and posttest), using survey indicators on productivity and health of employees. Sample: two organizations located in the same city and in the central region of the state SP. A company is a provider of educational services and the other fits into the eating area. The participants are 18 employee volunteers of both sexes. Instruments: a) Questionnaire Sample Characterization and Obtaining Data on Productivity and Health b) Observation and Collective Interview c) Coping Responses Inventory at Work (IRC-T), d) Yoga Intervention Labor ( YL) developed twice a week, lasting one hour, for two months, in the organizations under study. The results indicated the positive impact of QWL intervention in both organizations. In relation to productivity indicators there was a significant difference (p=0.0431) about days missed in the job. The food organization presents no significant difference, but the percentages indicated that no employee missed days of work. So the absenteeism decreased during the working days after the intervention. In relation to indicators of health, the educational organization shows no significant difference in the perception of well-being at the end of the intervention, but in coping, evasive rationalization decreased (p=0.001) and increased compensatory alternatives (p=0.006). In general coping strategies increased and decreased the avoidance of stress. The second organizational changes occurred significantly in the way of coping the stress. There were significant increases in the Positive evaluation scores (p=0.001) and Search Support (p=0.010). Strategies for coping with stress (17%) as well as avoidance strategies (14%) increased. Therefore, confirming the hypothesis of the study, there was a change in the indicators of productivity (absenteeism) and health (coping) after the intervention (YL) in both organizations. In the qualitative aspect, the educational organization showed stressful situations with a high pace and demand for labor, as opposed to the greater flexibility of the second organization. All participants talked about the importance of the positive effects of Yoga in their lives, including knowledge transfer to the personal and family domains. The results, although limited to a small sample, support the hypothesis of this study and encourage further research and the practice of YL in promoting the Quality of work life.
