RESUMO

The aim of this work was the development of calibration models using short wave near infrared and the application of calibration transfer techniques in analytical chemistry. In this studies were used three kinds of samples: cachaça, syrup s soft drinks and gasoline. In the first application, have been developed a calibration model to quantifying, in the temperature at 20 DC, the alcoholic grade in cachaça. To correct predict samples in another temperatures (15, 25, 30 e 35 DC), was necessary the utilization of transfer calibration techniques, such as DS, PDS, OSC and global model. The RMSEP found to alcoholic grade model at 20DC was 0.12 %v/v and after application of transfer calibration procedures at other temperatures (15,25,30 and 35DC) using the model built at 20 DC errors in the same order were obtained. In the second one, was developed a model to measure the °Brix s quantity in soft drink syrup using a HP 8453 spectrophotometer. For use this model to predict samples measured in another HP 8453 spectrophotometer, were employed transfer calibration methods. Good results were obtained, with error of prediction around of 0.2 °Brix. The last study was the transfer calibration between different instruments, with different optical configuration and different detectors. To get this objective, was fitted a calibration model to determination of ethanol in gasoline using a Cary UVNIS/NIR 5G instrument to predict samples measured in a HP 8453 spectrophotometer. After using transfer calibration techniques, the error of prediction presented results in the same order in relation to the calibration with samples measured in HP 8453 instrument
