RESUMO

This study is an investigation of the thermal and lighting performance, and of the potential to the energy conservation of a residential set that was implanted by the program named Programa de Arrendamento Residencial PAR, in Maceió AL, by means of computer simulation using softwares Arquitrop and TropLux. The methodology was based on computer simulation. The thermal and luminous performance results were analyzed by comparing to standard values and were used as a base to the estimative of the energy consumption that was used to the obtaining of the comfort conditions. The statistical treatment of the results obtained from the simulations made possible the knowledge of the performance of models and their quantification. The study confirms the tendency of a sensation of thermal discomfort that final users suffer and show the trueness of their appeal regarding to the installation of devices to the support of thermal comfort (air conditioner, awning, windows films), being source of information to upcoming PAR projects. The evaluation of the lighting performance showed that it has enough light in points of study, to exam of the use of protectors that maintain the shade in apertures, so that, despite the reduction of available light, it could be possible to get reduction on the internal temperature. This study suggest in cases like the one above mentioned, in Maceió the disregard for the quality of projects, in what concerns the comfort and energy efficiency, transferring to the final user the posterior waste of money. We expect, therefore, to contribute to the improvement of the architectural design of the buildings that have their characteristics investigated, as well as to provide information to the designers regarding to the aspects approached in this study.
