RESUMO

The present dissertation evaluates distinct scenarios related to the Brazilian Energetic Policy and the contribution of Natural Gas to the existing Energetic Matrix. Many discussions are presented respecting environmental aspects and impacts from hydrostatic testing process, conducted to assure pipeline integrity. Hydrostatic testing is performed in each new one or existing pipelines, and its characteristics are demonstrated based on real and already experimented execution procedures. The author based its work in two important analytical models: The Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), evaluating quantitative and qualitative impacts. As the same manner, mitigation measures are proposed, according to the aspects and impacts relevancy. Resulting from this work, a heuristic algorithm to hydrostatic testing was generated, and can be used by any person. The heuristic algorithm is complemented by the impacts and aspects analysis sheet, as well as mitigation measures that must be employed.
