RESUMO

This study presents a methodology to regionalization of watersheds where runoff data are not avaiable. The proposed classification is based on the following watersheds parameters: vegetation cover coefficiente (CCV), average impermeabiIity coefficient (CMI) and topographic factor (FTP). CCV is obtained by processing and digital classification of TM-LANDSAT image, using the perpendicular vegetation index (IPV). CMI is obtained by a qualitative reclassification of soiI units using an impermeabiIity factor. FTP is obtained by the morphometric analysis of watersheds using the circularity index, the frequency of first order channels and the relief ratio. The CCV, CMI e FTP parameters are used to classify watersheds according to the cluster analysis method. The final result presents a regionalization of watersheds that should be evaluated, by ratio of the maximum and average runoff of each homogeneous region defined.
