RESUMO

This work refers to the aspects related with the drilling process, conducted with the HSS twist drills. It is presented a initial part, a part related with the forces and a part related with the conducted researches. In this last part, the results of the works concerning with the behaviour of the wear and forces in steels having a good mach inability, the studies to verify the validity of the equations forces a the study of the drilling s titanium, and a comparative study of conical and Racon behaving in high speed steel twist drill are presented. Each of the research has a conclusion. In the final conclusions, it is discussed, through a reference manner, the general aspects of each research. The results show that some contributions, about the drilling process, are made, but the researches have to continue
