RESUMO

This research investigates the rehearsal moment of the choral experience through the vision of the social historical theory of Vigotski. For that we start defining what the theory of knowledge construction is, which has its origin in the period of the Russian Revolution. The first chapter addresses the socio historical teaching theory, drawing upon the work of Vigotski himself and some other authors who studied the research this psychologist, who has in Marx and his dialectical materialism the mentor of his work. The choral rehearsal and its components also need be defined, bringing to the discussion the conductor, the music pedagogy used during the rehearsal and some technical elements as the warm-ups and repertoire preparation. Thus we establish the bases for the second moment that consists in the analysis of five different choral rehearsals, using recordings and observations of those rehearsals in order to analyze both the applicability of Vigotskis theory and the actions in the rehearsals that can be understood through his theory
