RESUMO

The work aims to analyze the influence degree of political thought and ideas advocated by Roberto Campos during the constitutional reform in 1988 as a Senator, economist and advocate of economic liberalism. To do so, we will examine his manifestations about the theme, the political and economic predictions contained in their articles published in countless newspapers and magazines as well as the speeches in the Senate, all related to the court that made of the direction of reform in the Federal Constitution.In comparative exercise will demonstrate that the predicted, warned or admonished by criticizing the reform project in the making. With the profile of great quarrel, had a habit of thinking about Brazil and defend, loud and clear, his ideas, a fact which draws a large number of opponents of your thoughts. During his long career of public life, the Country was strongly influenced by the strength of their ideas and attitudes, achieved mainly through administrative actions in command positions in the Public Sector. His performance on the national scene as a manager, political player, an economist and philosopher, was marked, despite having received little attention in Brazilian historiography. Possessing solid humanistic sought, with great obstinacy, during the lifetime, point solutions that could ensure the future Brazil developed country status. He was distinguished for his nthusiasm in the defense of liberalism and free markets. Convinced of his ideas, defended with great vigor, intelligence and culture, criticized the draft of the Constitution of 1988, which formalized the time various proposals before the National Constituent Assembly, the majority of strong content privatized. In the end, did not succeed, making adjustments to approve its proposed constitution, although it warned all along that the new constitution, as it was being remodeled, would bring many difficulties for Brazil, behold, no more than a festival of craziness.
