RESUMO

The establishment of orchards in, in its wholeness, performed through rootstocks, which are coming from lots of seeds with an irregular germinative performance, due to the non-uniformity of natural maturation of fruits. Nevertheless, germination, both slow and non-uniform, of the seeds compromises the final stand and increases the time necessary for the establishment of seedlings. In addition, the high incidence of fungi and the recalcitrant character of the seeds of some cultivars utilized as rootstocks make the storage under low temperature conditions or for longer periods difficult. Owing to the exposed, it was aimed by means of this work to evaluate storage ways and fungicidal treatment over the storage of citrumelo âSwingleâ seeds, extracted from two fruits with two maturation stages. The fruits were collected at two stages (unripe and ripe) and the seeds extracted, after the seeds were given thermal treatment, they were treated with Derosal, Thiram and Tecto+Captan and packed in impermeable polyethylene bags and stored in cold room for 9 months time. In three months intervals, the physiological and sanitary qualities were evaluated by means of tests of germination, seedling emergence, sanity and enzyme profiles. The citrumelo âSwingleâ seeds extracted from unripe fruits should be stored for later sowing and the seeds of ripe fruits should be sown immediately after collection, the treatment with the mixture of Tecto + Captan is efficient in controlling pathogens during storage.
