RESUMO
This thesis presents the path of a desire in the articulation between the criticism of the knowledge about the sexed body (from the eighteenth century to the contemporary period) and the criticism of Guimarães Rosas?s narrative ? Grande sertão: veredas. Following this direction, the discursive way of the body finds its mirror in the analysis of the work of art, through the dialogue drawn between science and poetics. Inside this logic, the thesis defends an interpretation of the narrative voice as a desire of confession which searches not only the perpetuation of erotic pleasure, but also the understanding of experience through images of the body.
