Condicionantes do processo decisório na terceirização da manutenção de software: um estudo de caso em empresa pública

RESUMO

Software maintenance is the task that most requires resources in a software life cycle. Lots of companies have been in pursuit of outsourcing human resources to attend the demand of this service. However, the decision to outsourcing is a delicate process that interferes in the success or failure of outsourcing process. This study highlighted factors that can support managers in the decision making process to outsourcing software maintenance tasks, based in Information Technology management models. This research was conducted through a case study, bibliographic research, participant observation and interviews. The results listed ten influencing factors that were confirmed by professionals that experienced outsourcing process in software maintenance in a huge public institution. The observance of such factors, revealed during this study, can be used as subsidy in future outsourcing decision making process for software maintenance in the institution studied and in other companies.
