RESUMO

Abstract: This paper proposes a critical reflection on the experience of the youth condition and the school citizenship by means of three major axes concerning citizenship. First, it addresses the citizenship issue from the rights and the effective social insertion forms that the have adolescents in the society. Second, the citizenship theme is approached from the effective skills that the youth have in order to be actors in the society and to generate transformations in it. Lastly, based on a more normative perspective, considerations on the possible exercise and formation of the adolescent citizenship in the school are discussed.
