RESUMO

Professional clothing in hotel management is a theme which relates to the attributes instilled in the design process, more specifically, fashion design. It focuses on providing visibility and productivity to the hotel sector, through ergonomics, aesthetics and functionality. This study seeks to analyze the influence of design and its attributes, on the professional hotel environment, through two contemporary phenomena: Tourism and Fashion. Studying concepts of tourism and hotel management, hospitality, design and fashion, human resources and marketing, the study seeks to investigate the factors of intervention and behavioral change which maximize or minimize the effectiveness of the operational and representative activities of the hotel sector. Based on the point where the harmony of these aspects helps to maintain and strengthen the good image of the hotel and provides a good level of satisfaction to the employees, we investigated this line of research in order to address problems that can stimulate further studies in this area. With the results obtained in the study, we sought to categorize the jobs within ergonomic and aesthetic parameters, in order to suggest clothing that would be appropriate for the case study in question - the hotel Ponta dos Ganchos Exclusive Resort.
