RESUMO

Adducts between Trimorpholinophosphine oxide (MORPO) and hydratated bromides, perchlorates and hexafluorophosphates of some divalents transition metals were obtained the compounds of the bromides presented the general formulas MBr2.2MORPO in which M = Mn, Co, Cu and Zn and NiBr2.2(MORPO).2H2O. The compounds of the perchlorates presented the general formula M(ClO4)2.n(MORPO).xH2O, where n = 2 e x = 2 for M = Mn and Ni; n = 3 and x = 1 for M = Zn; n = 4 and x = 0 for M = Co and Cu. The compounds of the hexafluorophosphates presented the general formula M(PF6)2.n(MORPO).xH2O in which n = 2 and x = 2 for M = Co, Cu and Zn; n = 3 and x = 1 for M = Mn. All of the compounds were cristaline and little hygroscopic, being the compounds of nickel more hygroscopic in relation to all the others. The compounds were caracterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, mass spectra, X-ray powder patterns and their molar conductances in nitromethane, nitrobenzene and acetonitrile, electronic spectra in acetonitrile solution. According to the X-ray powder patterns the addition compounds of bromide of cobalt and zinc form a isomorphos serie. The some is true for the compounds of hexafluorophosphates of cobalt, copper and zinc. The perchlorates compounds presented patterns that differ from each other. According to the infrared spectra, the ligand is coordinated to the metal ion through the phosphoryl oxygen, as the frequencie of stretching of the P=O group in the free ligand is deslocated to lower frequencies in the adducts. One perchlorate ion is coordenated to the metal ion in the cases of the compounds of nickel and copper, while the other perchlorates is not. The perchlorates ions are not coordinated in the compounds of manganese, cobalt and zinc. The hexafluorophosphates ions are not coordinated to the metal ions. The molar conductances measurements indicated behavior of non-electrolytes in nitromethane, nitrobenzene and acetonitrile for the bromide compounds. The compounds of perchlorates and hexafluorophosphates were 1:2 electrolytes in the same solvents. From the electronic spectra in acetonitrile solution were calculated the ligand field parameters Dq, B and b for the compounds of cobalt and nickel.
