RESUMO

Polypyrrole (PPY) is one of the most important conducting polymers because at is good stability at room temperature, but it shows dificulty of processability. Composites o fPPy including common polymers is an alternative to improve processability. In this work a new method for obtaining composites of Ppy through photochemical polymerizations of Py described. The aim of this work was to prepare composites of poly(ethylene terephthalate)/polypyrrole (PET/Ppy) though photochemical polymerization od Py using amorphe and bioriented PET matrix, in the presence of chlorined solvent ( CH IND. 2 Cl IND.2 ) and to estudy their physico-chemical characteristic related to the morphology and electrical conductivity. Characterization of the composites were done by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), diferential scanning calorimetry (DSC) scanning electronic microscopy (MEV), infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTIR), gravimetry and X-ray diffraction and electrical conductivity (sigma). The last one was made using technique 2-Point Probe. The results have shown that the incorporation osconductive polymer (Ppy) in the composites (PET/Ppy) occur preferentially att superficial level and it may increase with higher dose of UV iradion empoloyed in the photochemical polymerization. Yet, it can be seen that the incomporation is dependent of the PET matrix morphology (amorphe, bioriented) and is higher in the composities prepared by bioriented matrix ...Note: The complete abstract is available with the full electronic digital thesis or dissertations.
