RESUMO

For the study of the Competitive Advantage of production chain from fish of the Estate of Mato Grosso do Sul, based on studies of Porter (1989) in his book Competitive Advantage Creating and Sustaining Superior Performance, which takes one of the theoretical chain in the strategic area. To create sustainable advantage competitive is the main goal of the organizations with capacity to lead them to differentiation of performance. However, with increasing competition between companies, their products and services are getting more similar each time being there centred the arduous task of the companies to offer superior value to its customers. The goal of this research is to verify how the agents in the production chain of fish in the region of Dourados MS, strategically behave, what intensity that a pre-set group of actions manifests itself or is used. The choice of the theme is justified by the current importance of the strategy of agro business. This prospect is requiring from its managers wide understanding of the business organization. The data collection was performed by a personal interview on twenty-two creators, four fish nursery owners and a slaughterhouse / frigorific, which participated in the research Survey like. The main environmental problems of Pantanal, comes from gold mining camps causing the silting and implicate the organic production contaminating the water and fish, and the agro industrials projects that degrade water quality, with the effluent and agricultural chemicals that penetrate into rivers and the water table. The inadequate agro-livestock management also results in soil erosion and increased load of sedimentary particles. The appearing of a new standard production of fish, whether native or exotic, in a sustainable way, which expand the income of small or large rural producers. In this research were analyzed the three most important links in the chain - the fish nursery , and fattening, killing with cold storage. The links are different throughout the whole chain. In the nursery we find the oligopoly concentrated, with specific niches, dominant strategy is the differential, with mix of products composed of 58 items, being four species common to alevinocultores among them native and exotic species already acclimatized and ready for fattening anywhere of Brazil. The fattening of fish, has a market structure with characteristics of perfect competition, the product is homogeneous, the dominant strategy in this market structure is the domination by the costs. It was identified four types of creators: family, Small, Medium and Large or professional creators. Most creators has no technical training specific to the activity, the index of learning is correlated with the scale, the mix of products offered by the creators is between two to five different species of fish. In the slaughter / cold storage segment is characterized as concentrated oligopoly productive scale distributing to retailers and exporting to other countries, greater differentiation is in the kind produced and their special cuts. The predominant strategy is the product differentiation, via mix, quality and image. The public authority concede benefits through the Peixe Vida Program, which offers better conditions and prices, fiscal incentives for the activity of frys and fish, with exemption for operations within the state.
