RESUMO

The Brazilian poultry industry is in continuous expansion conquering an important place in the international market. The production in an intensive system solves many problems, but it also creates others. These include the propagation of diseases and the accumulation of organic matter (feces) that propitiates the establishment of arthropods colonies in the aviaries. The diseases integrated management demands a previous knowledge of the agroecossistems, especially of the communities that make part of them. One of the communities that is imperative to have knowledge of is the arthropod community. Among them, Alphitobius diaperinus (Panzer,1797) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) that colonizes the substratum found in farms, can cause sanitary and economical problems by the increase of its populations. In this study the attractiveness of A. diaperinus and the comparative monitoring were evaluated, by using tube and sandwich traps in a period of twelve months. We also studied the variation of population and the response to attraction, as well as the best monitoring method. A. diaperinus was present during the entire experimental period, with higher capture level in the summer. The sandwich traps showed to be more efficient in the capture of larvae and adults. We did not obtain any significant response to the A. diaperinus extract by the Coleoptera population. In the evaluation of the arthropod fauna, at Conjunto Agrotécnico Visconde da Graça (UFPEL) broiler barn, we used two collection methods: one sandwich type and another tube (Arends) traps. Among the Insecta and Arachnida Classes 45.764 were captured. The Coleoptera were Alphitobius diaperinus (Panzer, 1797) (Tenebrionidae); Carcinops troglodytes (Paykull, 1811) (Histeridae); Euspilotus rubriculus (Marseul, 1855) (Histeridae); Gnathocerus cornutus (Fabricius, 1798) (Tenebrionidae); Mezium americanum (Linnaeus, 1758) (Ptinidae); Somotrichus unifasciatus (Dejean, 1792) (Carabidae), the dermaptera order it was found Euborellia annulipes (Lucas, 1842) (Anisolabididae), in the díptera order we found Drosophila repleta (Wollaston, 1858) (Drosophilidae), and in the Pseudoscorpionida order we found Withius piger (Simon, 1878) (Withiidae).
