RESUMO

The new business environment, at national and worldwide level, has deeply changed, and the Information Technology has special value on these changes, mainly Electronic Commerce, which is considered reality at all economic sectors. This research project has as main objective to identify the real situation of Electronic Commerce, on three dimensions: processes permeated by the application of this technology, at quantity and value levels; critical aspects; and offered and effective contributions. The project contribution is the consolidation of the components of Electronic Commerce study, as well as the identification of its present situation and trends.
