Characterization of the fruit growing of the city Lavras, MG and micro-region / CARACTERIZAÃÃO DA FRUTICULTURA DO MUNICIPIO DE LAVRAS, MG E MICROREGIÃO

RESUMO

Geographic situation, climatic conditions and agrarian structure are characteristics that congregated make of the fruit growing an important activity as alternative of job generation and improvement of the income for the small producer. In the city of Cultivate the fruit growing was introduced with the creation of the Program for Development of the Fruit Growing in the City of Lavras - MG - FRUTILAVRAS in 1994. After some studies it was arrived the conclusion of that the fig tree, the grapevine and the peach tree would be the fruitful ones to be implanted in first a proposal of project for the program. 24 producers had been selected agricultural to effect the plantings. The program officially was launched in December of 1995. In 13 of June of 1997, the Association of the Growers of Fruits of the Region was constituted of Cultivates - FRUTILAVRAS. In November of 2000, it was initiated construction of the agriculture-elaborate and in 12 of December of 2001 it was inaugurated. The second stage of the program, FRUTILAVRAS II was initiated in 2001 with the plantation of guava, atemoya tree and passion fruit. The methodology used in the research was personal interview with application of questionnaires contends direct questions. The data had been analyzed by means of the descriptive statistics, where was used the software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences - SPSS. The objectives of these works had been: 1 - to analyze the yield of the fruitful species implanted by program and 2 - to verify which the factors of the system of production used by producers associates to the FRUTILAVRAS, that had intervened with the productivity of the yellow passion fruit (passiflora edulis flavicarpa), by means of the personal interview with application of questionnaires. Today the fruit growing in the city of You cultivate and micro-region is a reality and concludes that: 1 - the yield of the species implanted for the program was of R$ 28,788, 51 for hectare and had generated in 2007 a value of production of the order of R$ 1.554.581, 00, that it corresponds 60% of the values of the production of all the fruitful species, implanted or not for the program, showing the importance for the economy of the cities. Beyond the income, it has generation of 117 jobs right-handers, proving that the fruit growing in the city of You cultivate and in the micro-region is viable and has a great social contribution; 2 - The productivity of the yellow passion fruit directly is related, to the number, amount and intervals of application of nutrients, as well as the a irrigation, artificial pollination and assistance technique to the producers. Seventy percent (70%) of the searched orchards presents inferior productivity to the national average of the culture. But 21.0% of the searched orchards better present greater average productivity (13,50 the 16,20 t/ha) for all the analyzed factors of the system of production recommended for the culture of the yellow passion fruit.
