Cenários e práticas do psicólogo nos centros de atenção psicossocial em Santa Catarina

RESUMO

This study has the purpose to analyze the professional practice of psychologists that work in the Centros de Atenção Psicossocial CAPS (Centers of Psychosocial Care) in the State of Santa Catarina, looking for three aspects: the context where they work in order to know the CAPS structure; the psychologists professional profile, giving special emphasis to the ability they have to work with CAPS user; the engagement of the CAPS employees and psychologists and the difficulties they have to develop their performance in order to the legislation in course. As a theoretic regard is used literature about Insanity in different historical ages and the care given to those psychological/ psychiatric disturbance bearers through to the present days, focusing, in particular, a way that permits a treatment since Institutes and legislation with Reforma Psiquiátrica no Brasil (Psychiatry Reform in Brazil) treats. About the methodology employed, its an exploit and describeing research. One used a questionnaire with free and shut questions that fulfill the proposed objectives. The analyze of the results is based in order to the Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira (Brazilian Psychiatry Reform) principles, fulcrum on the Federal law N 10.216 from 04/06/01 (Paulo Delgado law) that gives to the Mental Health Assistance Model a new orientation, and on the government edict GM N 336 from 19/02/02 that regulates the implantation and operation of CAPS. The results reveal that, in general, institutions are well structured in relation to the physical aspects but they lack financial and human resources. The psychologists day after day work indicates a prevalence of individual psychotherapy practice followed by group therapy, and in second plane, perhaps with no attend activities, the family and community. Consequently, the labor organization into network is hindered, jeopardizing the results intended with the creation of CAPS, which primordially is to reintegrate people with Mental Disorders within their families and the society. We understand as the reason that Psychologists working in this service , with a few exceptions, lack preparation in their graduate studies for the role they perform in the CAPS and that its necessary professional development course and to give a new direction to psychology curriculum
