RESUMO

The text lists the challenges of the education issue faced by the deep changes in the contemporary society, pointing to the great hardship of the education systems in reaching significant results regarding the students' learning skills. Among these changes it emphasizes the increase of social differences and also the inequality of access to knowledge. Than the author proposes some considerations on the present and future agenda of education innovations, which tries to break the social determinism of learning skills results.
