BATUQUES DA TERRA, RITMOS DO MAR: EXPRESSÕES MUSICAIS E CONEXÕES CULTURAIS NO NORTE DE MOÇAMBIQUE (SÉCULOS XIX-XXI)

RESUMO
Resumo O principal objetivo deste artigo é analisar as conexões históricas e culturais entre as sociedades do norte de Moçambique e as localizadas no oceano Índico por meio das expressões musicais, seus usos e transformações entre os séculos XIX e XXI. Partindo dos batuques das populações macuas, batuques de réua, maulides e dtiqiri das confrarias muçulmanas até o tufo, pretende-se abordar alguns aspectos, como as formas de organização em torno das relações de gênero, parentesco e controle da terra e a presença do islamismo, fundamentais para entender a história dessas sociedades.Abstract The main objective of this article is to analyze the historical and cultural connections between the societies of northern Mozambique and those located in the Indian ocean through musical expressions, their uses and transformations between the 19th and 21st centuries. Starting from the batuques of the Makua populations, batuques of reua, maulides and dtiqiri of the Muslim brotherhoods until the tufo, it is tried to approach some aspects, such as the forms of organization around the relations of gender, kinship and control of the land and the presence of Islam, fundamental to understand the history of these societies.
