RESUMO
The main focus of this work is on the debate of theoretical and technical notions of archives electronic management under the perspective of the use of database systems and archival concepts and methods. Using Information Technology and Information Management experiences and references the dissertation also attempt to do a conceptual analysis and evaluation on how databases in organizational electronic management systems deals with archives and records in its usage, conception and structure. Another intended approach is to point questions concerning the role of databases as conceptual systems inside archival practice and theory.
