RESUMO

A metabolism trial was carried out with the objective to determine the chemical composition and energetic values of apparent metabolizable energy (AME), true metabolizable energy (TME), apparent metabolizable corrected by nitrogen energy (AMEn) and true metabolizable corrected by nitrogen energy (TMEn) of the ingredients: feathers meal, visceras meal and poultry oil. The method used was Sibbald with intact and cecectomized roosters. 20 intact roosters and 20 cecectomized roosters lineage Leghorne were used, for the determination of the feathers meal, 20 intact roosters and 18 cecectomized roosters, of the lineage Leghorne, for determination of the visceras meal and of the oil. Ten birds were in fast, for determination of the metabolic and endogenous losses. In the foods and in you excrete were them analyzed dry matter, crude protein, ethereal extract, crude fiber and crude energy. The values of AME and AMEn for the feather meal, of visceras and poultry oil were 3,149.04; 3,152.89; 7,469.27 and 3,101.03; 3,050.09; 7,439.52kcal/kg, respectively. The values of TME and TMEn were: 4,082.18 and 4,035.28kcal/kg to feathers meal, of 3,993.37 and 3,860.66kcal/kg for the visceras meal and 8,669.65 and 8,589.09kcal/kg for poultry oil.
