AVALIAÇÃO DO REGIME HÍDRICO, GEOLÓGICO E GEOMORFOLÓGICO DAS FLORESTAS PALUDOSAS DO PARQUE ESTADUAL DO ITACOLOMI: INFLUÊNCIA DOS FATORES ABIÓTICOS SOBRE A COMPOSIÇÃO FLORÍSTICA E FITOSSOCIOLÓGICA.

RESUMO

The study have been developed in two fragments of permanently flooded Upper Montane Ombrophylous forest, located in the Itacolomi State Park, Ouro Preto, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This phytophisiognomy have a naturally fragmented distribution, but in several different of brazilian physiographic conditions. Still does not know a real covered area of this formation in the state of Minas Gerais and, consequently, there are few studies of this plant community, especially those located over 1,000 meters above sea level. These swamp forests have many so peculiar aspects that represent priority areas for conservation because of its importance in the maintenance of water resources, as well as to represent a restrict habitat for the species and that ones does not usually have wide distribution. We believe that these swamp forests not have a low diversity and richness of species, as found in the literature, as comparative studies of these areas with less restrictive environments to biocoenosis inevitably showed discrepancies, here considered derogatory. Also argue, based on publications in this phytophisiognomy that global diversity of these areas is considerable and is computed approximately 490 species, distributed in 15 work in different areas, but with greater concentration of study in São Paulo state, which are relatively close. We also observed that the distribution of species follows, primarily, the change in the relative humidity of the soil, such as variable indirect framework of hidrogeomorfologic. The use of species as indicators of environmental conditions appears to be effective, especially when used to those species strongly correlated to higher levels of water in the soil.
