RESUMO

The Dilúvio is part of an important watershed in the city of Porto Alegre, RS, having 17.605m of extension rising in the city of Viamão and flowing into Guaíba Lake receiving all kind of waste resulting from pluvial, domestic and hospital wastewater. Thus, the gully receives a diverse microbial population, some of these microorganisms may exhibit resistance to different antimicrobial agents and therefore act as potential disseminators of resistance genes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diversity of the Gram negative population present in the Dilúvio gully waters; characterize and identify the population accordingly to the antimicrobial resistance profile and the presence of genes for the resistance to ¿-lactams antimicrobial. The water samples were collected at five sites in different seasons of the year. The samples passed through isolation of the bacterial population by plating them on plates containing different media. To characterization of the resistance profile was performed using disk diffusion on agar method using antibiotics of different classes. It was observed the prevalence of bacteria of the Enterobacteriaceae family. Approximately 67% of the isolates from collections 1 and 3, 52% of the isolates from collection 2 and more than 95% from collection 4 were resistant to two or more antimicrobial. As the presence of resistance genes it has been observed that 43.54% (27/62) of the isolates showed amplification of genes, blaTEM, and / or blaSHV among them 33.87% (21/62) were positive for the gene blaTEM, 9.67% (6 / 62) for gene blaSHV and 3.22% (2 / 62) were positive for both genes.
