RESUMO

The drilling of oil wells is an expensive activity. The high costs involved bring up the nacessity of carrying an economical and technical analysis prior to the decision of drilling the wells. The more evaluation parametars are usad in the analysis, the more precise the results will be. This work presents a method that allows the evaluation of new drilling proposals, taking into account the production of oil and associated gas, the reservoir heterogeneity, the interference between wells and the production antecipation due to the new well. The results of the analysis vary, mainly, with the degree Of reservoir heterogeneity, with the horizontal di stance between wells and with the market price and production costs of both oil and gas. The acceleration of production has also a strong influence on the results. A computer program, based on the proposed method, was developed to study the feasibility of drilling new wells in partially developed oil fields. Some examples are presentad at the end of the work
