RESUMO

Nowadays, the search of better life quality is related, invariably, to the developed practice of physical activity mainly at gyms. Although in these places, there is considerable expenditure of human energy, they are not characterized as an energy management model that can reflect in considerable economy in monthly electric energy consumption. The conception of this type of environment conception could be based on the use of energy alternative sources, working, especially, as a way to harness the mechanical energy from the exercise. The conversion of this energy form into electric energy by means through the drive of electromechanical converters, to be directed to the livelihood of the place where it was produced it would work as manner to oppose the appearance of conduct hostile to the environment, supported by the unreasonable and equivocal use of primary energy resources (mainly those of fossil). The feasibility of reducing the monthly energy consumption in an environment dedicated to the practice stationary cycling practice was verified by means of the simulation of monthly training model. The training load dynamics, applied throughout the month, would be structured in 3 training programs: (A) Stable continuous training, (B) Variable continuous training, and (C) Interval training. By means of the calculations corresponding with the power and work parameters that would be produced in that month, it came to the energy amount of 73,58 kWh per month (assuming energy efficiency of 90% of the generator used) by means of calculation corresponding with the power parameters and work produced in a month. When this amount is confronted with the consumption of electrical equipments used in the same place, would prove to be exceeded in approximately 24,0 kWh. Therefore, the reuse of human energy, through the physical effort, could provide the environment consolidation that, in energy terms, may be characterized by self-sustainability, working, besides, as a way to combine the physical well-being with the critical conscience based on ecological ideology.
