RESUMO
Biomaterials get more use each day, and specific materiaIs development for these application is associate, as the case of Ti-6Al-7Nb Alloy. The forging parts in this new alloy should provide confiability and mechanical properties, as demanded for biomedical applications. Also, this work have considered the high cost of titanium alloys, your varied microestructural conditions and isotermal forging advantages presented by titanium a+B alloys. Thus, it try to determine the flow mechanisms behaviour of Ti-6Al-7Nb in isotermal forging conditions. Therefore, it have conduced hot compressive stain testing in various temperatures and strain speeds. Thus, was possible to evaluate the flow strain mechanisms, microestructural changes during the process, the flow stress and, surface and geometrical characteristics of forging samples
