RESUMO

The present essay "The relations of gender in philosophy: experiences and narratives of philosophy teachers it comes from studies of the research line " Education and Social Exclusion Process ", it fits in the area of the gender studies, making an interface between philosophy and education. Having two sights: one empirical vision with narratives and histories of Philosophy teachers lives interviewed with a methodology of research and analysis inspired in the method of research-formation of Marie Christine Josso and a historical-philosophical vision in order to think the gender relations in the Philosophy. It was identified that the studies of gender in the Philosophy field in Brazil are still few, being necessary to know the studies and researches developed in other countries. From Portugal (University of Lisbon) it was obtained the highest theoretical support concerning relative questions related to gender and philosophy research. It was searched the origin of the prejudice against women, tracing a brief analysis of the history of Philosophy, focusing in the ideas Rousseau, Kant, Schopenhauer and Locke. The central focus of this work was to know life narratives and histories of life of five Philosophy teachers of superior education institutions, showing a brief historic of courses and post-graduation programs that the interviewed ones are inserted as teachers or had been as students. Analysis and interpretation were developed, not only of these narratives, but also from what has being produced about the theme "The women and the Philosophy", written by professionals from Philosophy area. The analysis dialogued through this work it is not limited only to the studies of gender, and/or historical/sociological, but give emphasis to the look of the theme "Gender and Philosophy" and "The women and the Philosophy" as a philosophical theme. Innumerable prejudices of gender were identified in the narratives of interviewed teachers, confirming the suspicion of the prejudices experienced by whom, in the skin, in the body and in life of a woman decides to study philosophy in the academy and not totally content with this decides to teach and search philosophy
