As funções do tutor online : análise da interatividade tutor/aluno no projeto piloto do curso de administração de empresas da Universidade Federal do Piauí

RESUMO

This research studied the role of online tutor in Curso Piloto de Administração de Empresas of the Universidade Aberta do Brasil, managed by the Universidade Federal do Piauí, the proportional importance of them in order to propose some recommendations to the Program based on the results. This study was made through the analysis of four categories of tasks performed by the online tutor Educational, Social, Management and Technical Support that were identified by Berge (1995, 1996). Thus, this work identified, validated and increased this functions/sub functions and verified which one(s) represented, as duration, the task that consumed more time. Once these functions/sub functions were identified and their relative weights in the work of the tutor, was held the review and final interpretation of the data collected, based on the Analysis of Transcription of Messages methodology to examine the online education in different forums of the Moodle Platform, to identify possible changes to be made that could improve the work of online tutor. This methodology has been used by several researchers, in response to the needing of in-depth knowledge of the virtual classroom. It was also investigated the distribution of the functions in the virtual classroom into a universe of 1.143 messages, posted by the twenty two online tutors responsible for the course, and were chosen the four tutors that generated more messages (553), because these are those who gave more feedback, these messages generated 1.423 codes distributed in the four categories and sub categories of Berge. Besides the technique of Berge, were also used the methodologies of Consensual Qualitative Research and the Focal Group, to support and supplement the data analysis.
