RESUMO

The objective of the study was to analyze and to compare the level of related physical aptitude with the health of military policemen, of the masculine sort in the etária band of 20 the 40 years, integrant of the Special Company of Shock of the State of Rondônia (COE). The sample consists of two groups, the military policemen with 58 citizens divided in two etárias bands of 20 the 29 years (n=22), of 30 the 39 years of age (n=36); the group has controlled with 53 citizens in the etária band of 20 the 29 years (n=23), of 30 the 39 years of age (n=30), selected by means of intentional sampling. In the collection of data, it was used the anthropometric measures to verify body weight, body stature, skinfolds thickness (DC TR, SI, SE, PM). Tests to physical fitness them had been selected the following ones: abdominal force (n of rep. for min), force of superior members (n of rep. for min), flexibility (cm), cardiorrespiratório (ml.kg.min). The data had been analyzed by the descriptive statistics, absolute frequency, relative, average frequency, shunting line standard. The test of analysis of variance Anova One-Way was used and the Kruskal Wallis for comparison enters the two groups of study. For all the statistical procedures, the level of significance of 5% was used, appealing to program SPSS version 10.0. In what if they relate the characteristics anthropometric not if observed significant difference between the groups. With regard to related physical aptitude to the health in the 0 variable of force of upper members, only in the etária band of 20 the 29 the military policemen, had years shown superiors to the control. He observed themselves in the etária band of 30 the 39 years in the variable of abdominal force, force of superior members, VO2 máx., showed superiority of the group of military policemen to the control. The group control was perceived better resulted in %G, only in the etária band of 30 the 39 years of age. Based in the frequency distribution they observe that in the variable of abdominal force, force of superior members and VO2 máx. the majority of the group of military policemen and control had been classified in the equal category and above of the average of the reference-standard used in the study. It was detected that in changeable flexibility a significant percentage in both the groups and etária band had been below of the category of reference. In the percentage of fat (%G) both the groups had been above of the reference average, showing a light trend of fat located in the fabric adiposity.
