RESUMO

This study sought to find out about what entrepreneurs of small and medium business assets of cuisine (restaurants) have learned from their experiences and their mistakes. Starting from point which is not given due importance to "walk" the entrepreneur, but their products (projects) and that their "success", watched by a profile of entrepreneur, this which gives little feature to learn with the errors, over others like, courage, creativity, risk management, determination, focus and so on., the work aims to show results and through them to leverage new thinking for future work on the profile of the entrepreneur, more specifically about the characteristic to Learn from Mistakes. To understand the behavior of the entrepreneur about the errors, the work has used the theory of Cognitive Psychologist Michael Frese (Guidance Errors) and other Cognitive Psychologist and Learning, David Ausubel and his colleagues (Meaningful Learning) and clipping (sampling) of theoretical. This cut was important to know how entrepreneurs deal with errors and how and what methods are set to learn. The study used a qualitative approach and as a means for achieving the objectives the Case Study (multicases) and content analysis and data processing. The survey was conducted through an interview (semi-structured) and a questionnaire to verify the behavior of the errors before. The findings said that entrepreneurs learn from their mistakes, manage your mistakes and seems to have drawn important lessons to their business. Among their learning, the Personnel Management was something that emerged, particularly good relationship with employees and the issue of good customer service. The limitation of this work was the study no correlation between success and innovation, with the characteristic learning from mistakes, and have not studied how the "network" of entrepreneurs can influence new learning. The gains are due to the same set of learnings to a new reflection on the importance of good service and a Personnel Management, in addition to rethinking the character of Learning from Mistakes in the profile of an entrepreneur. It is recommended for future work more inferential and functionalist studies of these variables worked here and theoretical-empirical theory of learning by errors in studies on entrepreneurship and business administration.
