RESUMO

This work is concerned to the Photothermally Modulated Magnetic Resonance technique and its applications to ferromagnetic samples. The technique is initially applied to custom audio cassette tapes and the depth-profile analysis showed the advantadges of this technique over conventional resonance ones. Those analysis were done by using photothermal methods as modulation frequency variation and phase-shift. The dependency of the detected signal over the modulation frequency was also studied, thus determining the microwave-absorbing layers of the tapes. Using the conventional Ferromagnetic Resonance (FMR) and the Photothermally Modulated Ferromagnetic Resonance (PM-FMR), a Nd2Fe17 powerdered alloy was analyzed and a theoretical model was proposed for the abtained spectra
