RESUMO
In sunny climates, Transition Spaces may place excessive demands on the human eye and become real functional vision barriers, since building morphology is influenced by the dynamics of daylight. In this study, we describe the lighting characterization of a case study located in the city of Mendoza, analysing different lighting magnitudes and their relation to the standards regulating lighting and visual tasks in this type of building. The results showed that the lighting conditions of the transition space analysed, do not achieve the values recommended by the current standards, with lighting conditions that prevent the adequate performance of visual tasks, such as face recognition, highlighting the need to review the design requirements for this type of space, mainly regarding aspects related to daylighting modeling.
