RESUMO
The continuous growth of the rat incisor is associated with a constant reorganization of the junctional epithelium. The gengiva of the rat incisor presents the circundental papilla, corresponding to a projections of the sulcular epithelium in to the subjacent connective tissure. The internal surface os the circundental papilla contacts the cervical part of the periodontal ligament, that in the rat incisor suffers resorption. This work describes the ultrasctructural aspects and the presence of laminin and type IV collagen in the dento-gingival junction and in the circundental papilla of the distal surface of the lower rat incisor...
