RESUMO

In this work, the reduction of heat gain through the choice of appropriate external color is studied as a principle of bioclimatic conception. A methodology is proposed to obtain data of color reflectance, using spectrophotometric technique. The method provides not only the total reflectance, but also the percentage of reflection along the spectrum. An accessory named integrating sphere is used to allow diffuse distribution of the light. Samples of paints of different colors are ana1yzed in function of reflectance to solar radiation. Analysis of 15 tablets painted with several colors of paints, as well as in 22 samples obtained from manufacturer catalogue are performed. Through the results, a comparison between the achieved reflectance to pastilles and to the catalogue is elaborated, as well as a relation of colors that give less contribution to heat gain. With these results, it is possible to update data about color reflectance, and add technical information not available in the market
