RESUMO

The vertical discrepancy in the zone of lateral superposition is a distortion of the original measure that is hard to correct due to the sweeping realized by the laser sensor, especially, located in the lateral extremes of the flight area. Research does a judicious evaluation of the results dedicated to the simultaneous adjustment of the block, which may result, among others, in the reduction of the vertical discrepancy. It also identifies possible biased behaviors, evaluates the existence of residues (outlier) in the set of observations and submits the criteria of statistical analysis to adjustment. The thesis studies the components and the functioning of the remote sensor or airborne laser scanner (ALS). It examines the capacities to enhance activities dedicated to the generation of points in the lighted surface. In addition, it describes precautions taken in the profiling with the ALS in relation to the used power and the possible flight altitudes from the standpoint of security to the human health. Moreover, it reveals that the measuring done with the laser sensor may assist with activities directed to the municipal management, rural survey or even, environmental survey. The Helmert isogonal is adopted in the area with the purpose of shaping the behavior of the sampled surface. In the following stage it promotes strategies that point to a mathematical function capable of estimating the parameters of internal orientation of the laser sensor when considering the issuing/receiving laser cannon directed to the nadir. In this manner, the thesis suggests that it an additional technique be added to the methods already practiced in the calibration and the registering of coordinates with the ALS that aim, above all, at reducing the influence of the residues and/or distortions that are inherent to the measuring process.
