Agricultura familiar e políticas públicas: uma análise socioeconômica do PRONAF

RESUMO
The present study aims to analyze the contribution of the Public Policies for the development of Familiar Agriculture. Therefore, it initiates with an analysis of the productive logicals, going along a political context of the term Familiar Agriculture and a discussion about the characterization of the Familiar Agriculture category in Brazil; as well as, it presents some socioeconomics data of Familiar Agriculture. The second chapter has the goal to discuss the public agricultural policies in Brazil. It begins with a historical briefing of the implanted public policies in the country since the decade of 1980, reaching Pronaf - National Program of Familiar Agriculture Reinforcement, its goals and target audience of the related program, its structure and the importance of the Pronaf Credit for the economic development of the country and finally a distributive analysis of the program resources.
