RESUMO

The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth in height and diameter of seedlings of Mimosa scabrella Benth in the nursery and in the field submitted to different doses of NPK. The experiment was carried out at Epagri/Estação Experimental de Caçador,SC. The seedlings were produced in a plastic container with 200 cm3 capacity containing standard substratum: four parts of soil of kind Podzólico Vermelho Amarelo (depth of 40 cm) and one part of bracatingal soil (depth 10 cm). The nursery phase was analyzed under randomized design with seven treatment and 30 replicates. For the field phase was used randomized block design with 21 replicates. The following treatments were studied: T0- without chemical fertilization; T1- only N (15 kg de N/ha); T2 only P (80 kg de P2O5/ha ); T3- only K (20 kg de K2O/ha ); T4 dose N, P, and K (7,5 kg de N/ha+ 40 kg de P2O5/ha +10 kg de K2O/ha); T5 1 dose N, P e K (15 kg de N/ha +80 kg de P2O5/ha +20 kg de K2O/ha); T6 1 e dose (22,5 kg de N/ha+120 kg de P2O5/ha +30 kg de K2O/ha). In the field phase the seedlings were planted in 3 x 3 m spacing. The results demonstrate that the doses of NPK influence the growth in height in the nursery as well as in the field. The best growth in height for nursery and field was obtained in treatment T4. The least growth in diameter in the nursery phase was obtained by treatments T3, T1 and T0. For both phases, nursery and field the best growth in height and diameter was obtained with T4. Treatments T4, T6 and T5 produced the best growth in diameter in the nursery. In the field there was no significant difference among treatments. However, the least and the best growth in diameter were observed on treatments T4 and T3 respectively. After 616 days, the nutritional analysis of plants showed that there was no significant difference among treatments
