RESUMO

This thesis describes the effects on the system water-soil-plant caused by the use of effluents for irrigation of plots of flowers in the Federal District. Also, from the perspective of Multicriteria Analysis, this work describes and applies a methodology for selection of systems for water reuse in irrigation, using data from a pilot study conducted previously, cultivating flowers of the species Dália Anã Sortida (Dahlia pinnata) and also the recommendations found in the literature. The experimental design of the study was previously conducted with the following treatments: T1 = water + with NPK fertilizer, T2 = water of Paranoá Lake; T3 = primary effluent; T4 = primary diluted with sewage effluent tertiary, T5 = secondary effluent, T6 = tertiary effluent; T7 = effluent of UASB reactor and T8 = effluent from the stabilization pond. The multicriteria methods employed were Compromise Programming, Promethee 2 and Topsis, and the SRF software, which uses the method of the Cards Game to assign criteria weights. The best effluents were indicated according to their respective performances obtained in pilot scale. Considering the recommendations from the literature and data from the pilot scale study, the best effluents to be used in conjunction with conditioning systems were indicated. Finally, in a similar way, following considerations of literature, alternative systems for the water reuse were generated by combination of (1) effluent to be used, (2) systems/processes of adequacy of the water for reuse and (3) irrigation systems. Treatments T5, T6, T7 and T8 have showed moderated effluent quality restrictions to be used as irrigation water. All the "treatments" showed high efficiency, when considered as polishing systems for removal of total coliform and E coli. In the leachates, the parameters that exceeded the recommendations of CETESB (2005) were: iron, nickel, aluminum, chromium, cobalt, lead, cadmium and molybdenum. In terms of plant biometry, T1, T3 and T7 obtained the highest values of the parameters stem height, diameter of the stem, number of leaves, number of buttons and number of flowers. The worst growing results were presented by treatments T2, T5 and T6. When all studied effluents are possible to be used, the overall results indicated that the three best alternatives were: (1) T3 followed by filtration and disinfection UV drip irrigation, (2) T3 with filtration and disinfection UV with sub-surface irrigation, and (3) T3 with chlorination and filtration and drip irrigation. For each effluent, the best combinations of treatment systems and irrigation systems were: (1) T3 with filtration, chlorination and drip irrigation, (2) T4 with chlorination and filtration irrigation subsurface, (3) T7 with chlorination and irrigation sub-surface, (4) T8 with chlorination and drip irrigation. In relation to the treatment systems, filtration followed by chlorination was the alternative that showed better results in multicriteria analysis. This confirms indication of the specialized literature, since the filtration removes protozoa and helminths and chlorination is effective in disinfecting. The chosen irrigation systems were those that allow lesser contact with travellers.
