RESUMO

This qualitative study shows about problems that are, nowadays, affecting the relationships between Recreation/Leisure and Physical Education, considering, in special the professional preparation of Physical Education teachers. The study give us an idea about the limits and meanings of this relationship. At first, give us the problem of the study, which is centered around two principallines: the terminologica/conceptual divergences and the wideness of actions of the areas in questiono Based on hermeneutic principies (Ricoeur,1988.) and following the path of curricular study, the chapter inquires for understanding the hidden intetions of the apparent phenomenon, searching to unveil the conscience while iIIusion, trying to find new meanings for the reality. The investigation, followed the dialetical rationality, considering the language as a methodological requirement. Thus, starting from the symbols manifestations of the phenomenon, signs were identified, trying to understand the architecture about meanings that persons give to their actions and speechs while products. In that context it was necessary to recover narratives, documents and literature, in special, about an undergraduate course of Physical Education. The second chapter organized the thought, and considerations were acomplished by showing the mixture of opposits which link the act of play and the body, starting points of Recreation/Leisure and Physical Education. Then, showing a contemporaneous aspectos of life, lived inside a culture, event at school. From third chapter we can show indications that can help undertanding the problem of the study but, which are not conclusive. Results demonstrates that, the present is govemed by the system of rationality that exists within the logical principies of production, proper of the industrial capitalist culture. As a result, the act of play and the body are more and disciplined, controled by various institutions, for exemple, the school. Maneuvers, supported by the game of being/having/power/knowledge, played in the present, manipulate the wishes desires and all possibilities of the act of play and the body, directing them towards a follow goals, which frequently, are stablished outside their own domain. Among that daily disturbance, we can have some clues announcing the game of resistences which are fundamental to transform the reality. The liberator challenge made the fourth and last chapter thrash through revolutionary unveiled paths trying to recover feelings and meanings that have potential to produce changes. The reflexion and considerations show that the end point of this study is, in fact, the starting point to begin deeper studies, that are needed to understand the problem in question
