RESUMO

This dissertation talks about the relations between the compulsory syllabus of Parana s History teaching, taught by teachers from state schools in Elementary School II and Secondary School in the city of Londrina, and the effective action of teachers in the classroom. It aims to understand how teachers think and teach classes about this syllabus, once we understand that this question involves some problems such as the contents inserted in the Curriculum, established by law, that don t appear on textbooks adopted by these two levels of teaching. It consists of mapping which Parana s History is known by teachers and which Parana s History is taught in classroom, helping to notice how teachers understand this syllabus and how the construction of knowledge happens through teacher s practices. It also investigates which knowledge teachers acquired in their academic course, their background about these questions and their opinion about how Parana s History should be taught. Moreover it also checks in which ways the graduation course for History teachers give them conditions to analyze and deal with the compulsory syllabus required to be worked with Parana s History teaching, enlarging their own comprehension about the regional History teaching and also, if these professionals realize themselves as the agent of the public politics in education in order to introduce the content of Parana s History in schools. Our worry is to realize how could be this history taught once a critical education can depends on the conscious action of history teachers who are collaborating to form a better society.
