RESUMO

This work intends to contribute to the debate over some of the current challenges faced by universities, which concern the necessity to offer methodologies more suitable to our present society of knowledge, and to form professionals with a profile more compatible with the dynamic, complex, and competitive reality, also characterized by constant changes and uncertainties. Such challenges were analyzed within the scope of Tourism College, in which the methodology of project and the characteristics of the profile of the entrepreneurial individuals were the object of study offered as a suggestive answer to the challenges previously mentioned. This work investigated, as a central problem, the possibility of the methodology of project to favor and create conditions for the Tourism College students to develop entrepreneurial behaviors and abilities, as well as, to assure that the entrepreneurial education corresponds to the profile of the graduate students of Tourism indicated in the Curricular Directives of this course. From the revision of the Literature about Entrepreneurship, and the documentary analysis about the methodology of project, the results revealed that there is strong evidence that the methodology of project provides full conditions for the students to develop behaviors and abilities similar to the ones identified in the entrepreneurial individuals, and that these characteristics meet the profile designed by the Curricular Directives of the Tourism College.
