RESUMO

In order to compose the death song intoned by the serial killer Orfeu Wilson, the portuguese play-wright Bernardo Santareno brings to his play O inferno an intertextual discussion, dealing with the roots of criminals. This thesis aims at unveiling the intertexts fulfilled by Santareno and to study the thoughts of the psychiatrist dramaturgist, who tries to understand the criminal mind
