RESUMO

The Information Society puts out of your configurantion who that not has digital ability, because it started to require production and consumption practices based on information organized and disseminated by the new Information and Communication Technologies. The computer is a representative of the new ICTs, because he has a multitude of services is available through the Internet with content for construction of knowledge, business or social interactivity. The computer has modified the information structure. Several concepts unknown to the citizen began to be required. For the man take advantage of the use of computers new skills was required, he has increased your capacity for learning through cognitive level by of use new technologies. The race for qualification for use was carried out through social programs for digital inclusion, but has not met the speed of change by the new ICTs. This thesis aimed to investigate the subjective perceptions in the process of inclusion on the concepts and skills that might think he should have to be part of the Information Society. They have done part of the sample nine subjects, residents of a neighborhood the outskirts of Salvador City and who were participating or had participated in a social programme for digital inclusion. It was used the technique of focus group for collecting data. The discussions were recorded, transcribed and submitted to the data analysis. For this purpose it used a computer program called ALCESTE version 4.5. The results showed that four classes were organized in three thematic subjects. The class 1 presented the subject motivations to start a social programme for digital inclusion and is identified in that class reasons related to the labour market, the educational processes and observed the family influence in the quest for digital inclusion. The contents of the Class 3 grouped the perceptions that individuals have on the practices undertaken by other individuals who use the new ICTs. Such practices were deemed as negative, since they are related to the misuse of time and access to content analyzed as unwarranted. In Class 4 ICT has been seen as passport to the information society, allowing easier communication, knowledge and social awareness. The results enabled a reflection on the need to ascertain the perceptions of each group to be included in the information society so as to know their reality and their perceptions, and make the inclusion of an effective integration of the individual in the information society.
