RESUMO

The aim of this masters dissertation is to determine the exact moment of the first studies in Marketing and understand how the sciences and the philosophic thought were important in the constitution of concepts and theories of marketing. Departing from the hypotheses that Marketing, aiming establish itself as an independent field of knowledge and to ensure academical and scientific respect, made use of scientific and philosophical methods in its first studies , in beginnings of XX century. For a better understanding of this influence, we made use of primary and secondary sources, detaching, throughout the dissertation, the influence of sciences and philosophy in the first studies of marketing
