RESUMO

This work intends to contribute to the study of the History of Disciplines. It constitutes a research of the History of Education discipline in the Pedagogy course of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC/SP), Eram 1946 to 1976. This time series refers to the establishment of two pedagogical purposes which have distinguished acknowledgment. In order to present these two lines, the work is divided as follows: In the first chapter it is presented a review of the discipline History of Education at the university leveI. It deals with the history of PUC/SP and the legal aspects which constitute the norms related to the institution, the course and the discipline itself. In order to align this work in conformity with the perspective offered by Wolf Lepenies, it is also developed in this chapter an analysis which describes the relations of proximity established by the discipline with the other disciplines of the curriculum of the Pedagogy course, according to a quantitative perspective. In the second chapter are described the pedagogical characteristics concerning the hegemony of the first pedagogical line, which was influenced by the Philosophy and due to the orientation of the head professor of General Philosophy Leonardo Vali Acker, orientation that prevailed by means of the pedagogical work of the teachers who had succeeded him. The third chapter deals with the advent of the second pedagogicalline which is represented by the orientations offered by professor Casemiro dos Reis Filho, and which drawn up the epicenter of the discipline History of Education to another perspective which would embrace since then a more historic and social view in its study, what had distinguished it from the previous pedagogical orientation
