RESUMO

In nineteenth-century, the Brazilian Literary Histories were accepted as discursive historiography of invention, affirmation and convalidation of our cultural tradition and national literature. Then, some historians wanted to contribute with those narratives which could be projected to History of Brazil. We had three successful examples: Curso Elementar de Literatura Nacional (1862), by Clergyman Fernandes Pinheiro; O Brasil literário (1863), by Ferdinand Wolf; and, Curso de Literatura Portuguesa e Brasileira (1866-1873), de Sotero dos Reis - which have been seeing as pioneer in our literary historiography. Thus, this work analyzes these three Brazilian literary histories, which could construct an idea of our national historiography formation and, on the other hand, allow to reassess the later histories
