RESUMO

Our aim, through this Research, is understanding Mathematics teachersâ social representations regarding to their initial professional preparation process. On this account, we took as this analysis point of reference, Mathematics teacherâs initial professional and docent know ledges that have been used as a point of references to found it, I.e, teacherâs initial professional preparation, beyond social representations theory we have used a plurimethodology, so to say, plurimethodology researching ways, i.e we have dealt, we have handed several resources for data gathering and analysis, which was developed in three stages. In the first one, we have dealt the quantitative study, aiming at identifying the Licentiate course profile regarding to Mathematics in the State of, Pernambuco. In the second one we aimed at identifying studentâs pupilâs social representations semantic field, as well as we tried approaching, among them, the elements that constituted these representations central nucleous. Therefore, on this account, we have applied, in every sample, the free association and direct one questionnaires. In the third stage, we have fulfilled, under a certain sample representation, semi-structured interviews, aiming at analyzing subjectâs discourse organization regarding to the researched object we have accomplished this study in six Institutions that offer the above mentioned course which have participated from have participated 557 subjects â 482 students, pupils and 75 teachers, this studyâs results revealed, shew up that the representations regarding to this kind of professional training circle around cognitive, pedagogical, socio-affective and professional dimension categories, but cognitive dimension category prevailed in the two investigated subjects groups we have constated also that the socio-affective category has contributed though, wit meaningful influence upon the students, pupils representation, as well as the pedagogical one has been always present, in an effective way, in the teachers those ones. Professional category has presented a meaningless contribution in the subjects representation field and did mot make itself present in these inner structure constituent element. Such a representations central nucleous was organized around cognitive dimension, pointing out demonstrating that the emphasis regarding to professional training happens, occurs around disciplinary knowledge
